The Division of Dermatopathology continues to play an important role in the diagnosis and management of patients with cutaneous disorders through its interactions with members of the clinical and research communities. Dr. Sara Peters is the director of Dermatopathology. The Division participates in Dermatology Grand Rounds and in the monthly Cutaneous Oncology Group. Translational research projects involving cutaneous basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, malignant melanoma, and cutaneous lymphoma are on-going. During the past year an ACGME accredited Dermatopathology Fellowship training program was re-established and two fellows have been hired for the 2008 academic year. Recruitment of additional faculty members continues.
