The Molecular Pathology Laboratory at The Ohio State University Medical Center has been providing state of the art diagnostic and carrier testing to families and individuals with an increased risk of inheritable disorders since 1990.  The Laboratory performs complex genetic testing of high technical quality following accepted ethical guidelines.

Dr. Thomas Prior, PhD, the laboratory director, is board certified in Clinical Molecular Genetics by the American Board of Medical Genetics.  The laboratory is certified by the College of American Pathologists (CAP - LAP#1637801, AU-ID 1182122) and is a CLIA certified facility (CLIA# 36D0329129).

The OSU Molecular Pathology Laboratory uses accepted validation criteria for assay development and participates in internal and external quality assurance programs, including sample exchanges and proficiency testing.
